Sky Mountain Resort RV Park was delightful, clean, quiet, scenic, spacious and user friendly. The owners went out of their way to make guests feel at home. We hope to return in the future and plan to stay for a much longer period of time.
We recently spent a week at the Central KOA in Albuquerque. It was extremely clean and well run. We really liked the location. The park is close to all of the area attractions. It is one block from Route 66, and the ramp on to I-40 is nearby. We spent some afternoons swimming in the pool which was very, very clean. Security patrols were often and regular, and we felt safe and secure.
Salt Springs Recreational Area is one of our favorite campgrounds. It is well run, clean with ample space for each campsite. We especially like it in the cooler weather. We like to bike and swim in the spring which has several "boils" to explore. Blue crab and mullet are plentiful in the spring and can be caught in Lake George beyond the boundary of the spring. You need to book far in advance as many people spend the winter there. Cell phone service is not good in the Ocala National Forest. We have been known to drive to Palatka to use our phone and computer.
